Where to stay
Budget travelers cluster in the residential streets just inland from Slovenska Obala, around Mediteranska and the blocks behind it, where small guesthouses and hostels sit a 10-minute walk from the beach and the Old Town walls without the waterfront markup. Staying right inside Stari Grad is atmospheric but tight on space and noticeably pricier.
Getting around
- Buses to Kotor leave from the main station on Ivana Milutinovića and cost a few euros. Do it as a day trip instead of booking two separate stays.
- Mogren Beach and the main Slovenska stretch are free. Sveti Stefan beach charges a steep access fee to get near the water. The views from the road above are free and just as good.
- Restaurants along the Old Town walls charge two to three times more than the konobas five minutes inland toward the bus station. Walk past the tourist strip and prices drop fast.
